When it comes to marketing on the Internet, you have to understand social network marketing. Here's why, it's a free way to drive traffic to your website and here are some ways you can do that.
Remember it's a social network. A lot of people forget that when marketing on the Internet using social network marketing, you can come off as spam. There have been a lot of spam complaints throughout my time and I see a lot of people do ridiculously stupid stuff and I suggest you don't do that as well.
Always try to make friends on these networks because these are people you really want to connect with. It's not all about recruiting, it's about building relationships. If you can build relationships properly, these people will want to follow you, it just makes sense. If you can catch somebody's curiosity you have a good chance of them asking you what you do.
I don't recommend sending your link in the first message that you send somebody because it will look like spam. I usually never even read those messages. Always try to sell yourself before you sell your business. That's what the social networks all about. If you can understand this then you have no problem with marketing and social networks.
Here's another perk of why I like to do it this way. it is basically no cost to me. I chat with people from Japan, China, and so many other countries that I have never even been to. This is a powerful tool if used correctly.
